No. I have put that on hold. The runt ended up getting really sick and I spent all day yesterday trying to save her. She passed this morning. We still have 4 pups that need names but I've been too upset to go in the puppy room much today. Just to let momma dog outside a few times and feed and give her fresh water.

I saw that on instagram! My dog has 11 and 2 of them died.   With larger litters its very very common for one to die. Don't beat yourself up over it mama.

Yeah I was told that about large litters. It is still heart breaking. You always root for the underdog, you know? I was so hopeful she would make it, especially after she started doing SO WELL last night. But like the vet said, she was sick and at only 4 days old there wasn't much I or anyone could really do for her. Poor puppy.

Aww I am sorry to hear that poor little fellow(was it a he?).   You did everything you could hun.

Aw, I'm sorry   I know that's terrible. It happens though. My sister has a golden retriever and her first litter had 12 puppies. She smothered two of them. The vet said it was because she felt like she couldn't care for all of them so she got rid of the two smallest ones. It was so sad.

That's so sad. That happens though  

Or sometimes they sit on them. My dog was 18 months when she had puppies and did amazing with them all. She had 14, but 1 wasn't developed and 1 died shortly after cause it was so small. its heartbreaking

I want to say she was around 2 years old when that happened, maybe a bit older. That was several years ago though. She's had a second litter since then and she did great with them. I think she had 13.
