Names That Fit our Styles?

posted 21st Jan
I've tried going through baby name sites, but to be honest, going through the massive names of lists hasn't been extremely helpful to me. I figured I would try asking for name suggestions, since going through sites hasn't proved to be very useful. Can someone suggest some names for both genders, based on our "styles" of naming?

For girls, I like shorter, more spunky...I really like Peyton and Zoey, but my husband has shot both of them down. He prefers something longer and more feminine...I believe his name idea of the day was Seraphina.

For boys, I tend to go for names like August or Sawyer. He's...really wierd with boy names. So far he's suggested Creed, Loki, and Colt. I swear it's like he's naming his alias on his x-Box...Anyone have any ideas that we might be able to agree on?

Nymblr might be a great help. Also nameberry has a vast lists of names that fit your style, they don't always list the typical average names either.

I've tried Nymblr, but I haven't heard of nameberry. I'll check it out. Thanks!

It's kind of unisex, but maybe Quinn?
Olive also comes off as short and spunky to me.

Not sure on the boy name though.

Ophelia, Violetta and Zora are what came to mind for girl names.

For boys maybe Felix, Cassius, Lucian.

Zora?   ....or Zelda?

I tried to get a friend to name her daughter Zora but she refused because of A link to the past.

Zora lol. Although it's supposed to be after Zora Neale Hurston who's my SO's favorite author but I'm a well known LoZ fan to my friends so they don't believe me

there are plenty of great really girly girls names.

I like Zoe spelled correctly.

Peyton is just ugly no matter how you spell it.

I absolutely love Roman for a boy...My husband wasn't sold on it until I convinced him that it's related to gladiators. He loves Archer. I actually like it as well, so we're agreeing.

I also love Colton and Tate for boys.

He really likes Sophia. Zora is awesome, but I can't convince him about that.

I'm loving Sadie right now, but again, I don't know if I could talk him into it.
