Think we made a boo boo...

DS hasn't been going to bed very good lately. Come to find out when I try and snuggle him to sleep, if he has a sippy cup he knows its different and doesn't like it. He gets his same old bottle, now with milk and he drinks it and snuggles himself to sleep on me. I probably should have never started rocking him to sleep with a bottle anyway, I knew this day would come when he doesn't necessarily need the bottle.
He is bottle broken all day except bedtime. Even nap time he will drink a sippy cup while we rock him. So basically, do I let him have the bottle until he just doesn't want it anymore at night? Or should I continue to give him his cup at night and just have rocky bedtimes until he is used to the cup at night? He is just being a creature of habit about his night time bottle.

How old is he? Personally, I'd let it go if he's still young.

I would get rid of all the bottles. Idk how old he is but if he's old enough to go get himself a milk bottle he's probably too old to have it anymore.

He will be 13 months old on the 28th.

Oh, I'd totally let it go. My oldest wasnt ready to give it up at that age but did himself a 18 months. My youngest is 14 months and still as 3 bubbas a day

I can roll with that. I don't personally see the harm in it, but I have been told by many many people to cold turkey that night time bottle. It just isn't conducive to a peaceful bedtime.

I found a lot of ppl had the answers to everything. Just go with your instincts. The way i look at it, they won't be babies forever, and they won't still want a bottle when they're 12 so cherish it while you have it
