re: Devastated & confused. Help/advice...

It may just be to early same type of thing happened to me this pregnancy and I was freaking out my first ultrasound there was nothing at all went back in 2 weeks there was a sac and now a baby..I was very scared also but think positive..they had me thinking all of those thoughts also about ectopic and misscarriage it was a huge relief finally when there was finally something there..

I wouldn't fret just yet because if you just got positives it's WAY too early to see anything on the ultrasound.. as another poster said, most OBs do it at 8 weeks just to make sure they could see something there.. my second pregnancy i went in with LOTS of bleeding and cramping, i was supposed to be 8 weeks.. when they did a ultrasound the baby was only showing at a 6 wk rate (just a little circle) they said that i was most likely going to miscarry to go home and wait... Well, i have a healthy happy 2 1/2 year old little boy   this pregnancy the earliest i got a ultrasound was 7 1/2 weeks to ensure that the baby was growing the rate it was supposed to... just wait and see what the blood results say & if they say that its went up wait a few more weeks and ask for a ultrasound to see if there are any changes going on in there..


& maybe look for a new OB office (or ask to see a diff nurse)... your nurse sounds like a douchebag & the ob doesn't sound much better... you need someone who is serious about your care & can reassure you when you need it..someone who will give you real answers, not scare the smurf out of you for no reason

It's probably just too early to see anything. I got very dark positives on my HPT's and went in for an ultrasound 2 days later and nothing was on the screen except evidence of my uterine wall thickening. I was devastated. My levels were 228 that day. They had me wait 2 weeks until my next ultrasound and at 6 weeks exactly my little bean was there.
Don't give up hope just yet. And try not to stress about it. I know, easier said than done.

Don't be said and afraid mama with my first they did an ultra sound at 5 weeks and I had a little empty sac they told me it could be either a too early or be no baby then I came back at 6 weeks and there was baby with a heart beat and everything  

Thank you everyone... I barely slept last night and DH even tried to let me sleep this morning by having someone come get him instead of me having to take him to work and getting DS up, ready, and on the bus for me. Now that I'm up all I want to do is cry...They said they weren't going to call until after 2:30...so I have so long to think and worry... I just wish I had someone here with me...I don't want to be alone...

Awe sweetie. That energy isn't helping If your LO is trying to grow in there. *hugs* just try to keep busy. Bg is a lifesaver for me haha

It normally is for me... That's what DH told me to do too...I told him the only thiing I have to do to keep busy is clean house and I just dont see that happening today... I've been looking at "HCG quantities" all morning trying to make sense of them... babies are normally see-able on an ultrasound about 4-5 well at least the sac...I found out around three weeks with my last and I was about 5 weeks they could barely see anything but they could see something...   I just wish I could stop thinking...

Not to mention ever since she checked me yesterday I'm having this sharp pain in my left side of my pelvic area... its not intense just enough to notice...

I had that with all 3 of my kids....OB told me it was the side the egg had dropped from!

Not much longer. Ive been thinking about you...I know it isnt going to help you right now, but everything happens for a reason. If, for some reason, this doesnt work out in your favor. You tell DH to suck it up and you try again. Everything will be ok <3

I posted a topic yesterday. She said that my levels were 56 so it was consitent with early pregnancy and that's why we couldn't see anything on the ultrasound. Monday she wants to do more blood work to make sure my levels are going up.
