I was addicted to sodas too. I went threw withdrawals (no smurfing lie!) for three weeks from the caffeine and chemicals in it. I kid you not, it was worse than quitting smoking which I did cold turkey (twice!)

One thing I was told recently, that is helping change my outlook.. is there are two ways to dispose of extra food. In your stomach or in the trash. I'm trying to keep that in mind when I make my plate also.

We NEVER have leftovers. I eat until I'm comfortable and LO is fed, then DH eats the rest.

I've been trying to save money and purposefully making enough for left overs. Even if it's just the meat and making new sides with the rest.

good idea.

so what all are you guys planning on doing to lose weight? i think as of tomorrow, i'm seriously cutting down on soda and eventually just not going to have it anymore. we have a fitness center at my apartment complex, the only problem is what to do with DD. sometimes i like to take walks with her, but getting the stroller up and down the stairs with her in tow isn't always easy. oh well, something's gonna have to give.

For starters no more peanut butter. One piece of bread sadwiches. No calorie drinks. And I'm going to start with half my normal portions and go back if I'm still hungry. I guess we'll see how that goes and no more emotional eating. I'm going to have to be really careful because I don't have a lot of time. I guess 2.5 pounds a week for myself.

I joined a gym, but still rarely have time to go.

One thing I enjoy doing is finding those little workouts on Pinterest that have you doing like 30 squats, 15 pushups, 50 bicycles. Stuff like that.....its not too hard, but hard enough to make you sweat and you feel SO good after you get done.

You ladies should try Julian Michaels 30 day shred. Its 6 bucks at walmart. plus shipping if you order online. I have tried it before and failed and stopped doing it a couple times, but I am sticking to it right now, and my body feel so much better. I started last monday and I have not weighed myself yet. But I do feel a difference. As far eating, I am trying to keep portions as minimal as possible, but still enough to keep my body going. I am drinking a lot more water. I will go for a few days without having any soda, then its just like a "have to have" feeling and craving. I do need some help with that. But i do recomend the JM 30 DS. !!!

i'm hearing alot about the 30 day shred and insanity right now. i didn't know where to get it or how cheap it was! i think i'll look for it and get that. DD would probably get a kick out of watching me work out.

Ive heard really good things about it. So i said heck with it, might as well try it out. I bought when i first tried to loose weight, but i am back at it again. It takes a little to getting used to, but i feel great afterwards

This right here is my issue a the way around!!!

I freaked out a couple week ago...I weighed myself and was damn near back to my end of pregnancy weight 0_0 I think I've lost some since then but I don't have a scale so I haven't weighed myself since. Can't say I'd want to after that!
