What is the best time....?

to have a wedding ceremony? we have our reception hall for 4 hours, and we are having our ceremony at a church. i was thinking maybe having the ceremony at...3, it will last about an hour or so, so lets say 3-4, then the reception from 4-8? is that too early? OPINIONS!!!!!

Are you having pictures afterwards?? Those sometimes take a while so maybe plan an extra hour for that!

We had our wedding at 5pm, and then our reception from 6-10 it was perfect for dinner etc.

I would do the ceremony at 4, cocktail hour at 5, dinner at 6 and party until it is over.

Take your individual photos before the ceremony leaving time for few photos to be needed after the ceremony. This way, you aren't scrambling to the reception hall and trying to cram in all the "events" of the party.

we are too poor for a cocktail hour lol. we do have 2 bartenders, but, they will only allow beer and wine

Yes Ma'am!! This way if you show up at about 5:30ish it isn't a big deal.
