For anyone who DIDN'T vote for Obama

posted 21st Jan
Do you think this opinion holds true? If not, why do you suppose Obama won, even after a dismal 4 years?

" Romney lost the last election for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest is that his message was "we can shrink government, we can put you back to work, we can get you tax relief by reducing the rolls of dependency, we can roll back and repeal Obamacare, we can make you more independent and self reliant."

Obama's message, meanwhile, was "I will take care of you, I will ease or remove the consequences of your poor decisions, I will remove the stress of not having a job by keeping the checks coming. I will help you keep the car, the boat, the motorcycle and cable TV without you having to relocate to where work might be. I will prop up your artificially high wages and benefits by bailing out unions. I will give you daycare, healthcare, free birth control that you may be able to continue to fornicate like rabbits. If the birth control doesn't work, I'll make sure you can kill the fetus up to birth if it's an inconvenience to you. We will never judge you or demand anything from you but your vote. And I will stick it to the rich, who are the reason you have nothing, cannot get anything, and will never have anything."

I thought ROmney lost for a ton of other reasons, none of which was in that quote.

The republicans have just gone wayy too extreme to be reasonable honestly. I hope they figure that out and get their smurf together for the next one because seeing all these nut jobs running as republicans is just disappointing and sad.

I think the general message is true, yes. And he even said it again this morning. Many People don't really want to work hard anymore, they are entitled and lazy,

No, he lost because of his blatant disdain for a huge majority of voters.

That's a pretty big generalization. And having a conservative viewpoint could really benefit our country now as far as spending.

Not sure who said it, but yeh, there are a lot of lazy people. But we have no one to blame but ourselves   30 years ago families pushes their teens to go out and get little jobs and stuff. That really helped make them appreciate the value or money and hard work. You never see that anymore. Kids just sit around on their computers and game consoles being lazy as smurf

I think Romney lost because he wasn't picked by the people. He was crammed down our throats by the RNC.

I do think Obama won because of everything stated, though.

Yes it's a really sad cycle that is created at home and enabled by our government.

Not sure if i believe your romney quote, when your obama quote sounds like a crock of smurf. Personally, i didnt vote, as i dont like either, and im just riding this next four years out. But thanks for your PERSONAL opinion, and not the facts.

I didn't vote for either one of them, but while a little exaggerated I believe that is true, yes. Of the people I know who voted for Obama and the people I know who voted for Romney (or other, as in my case) the Obama voters are my younger friends, most of which do not have jobs and do not WANT jobs. I watched a Facebook conversation the other day between a couple girls discussing how they're so glad they don't have to work and can get paid to "stay home and get high." I then watched another conversation on a status where someone bitched about his paycheck being cut $20 a week in taxes this year and a girl replied to him that it should be fine with him that he's paying extra taxes because she's getting "free" birth control now. She is unemployed. I don't think everyone who voted for Obama voted for him for those reasons, not at all, but the group of people I personally know that voted for him did vote for him because they were/are under the assumption they will not ever have to work and have told me that.
