She never said it was facts. She stated from the get-go that it's an opinion.

In English writing, quotation marks or inverted commas (informally referred to as quotes orspeech marks)[1] are punctuation marks surrounding a quotation, direct speech, or a literal title or name. I just assumed she was quoting as she used quotation marks???

I have been told the exact same things, over and over again. People have been pretty blatant about wanting government bennies.

Key word. Assumed. Which is interesting since she said herself that it was an opinion. You put things in quotation marks also when you use material that you found on another website.

I wouldn't have quoted something I said, myself. I did, in fact, find it in another thread on another website and didn't want to link back to kinda sorta protect who said it.

I just wanted opinions on the...opinion.

Yeah, I got that, it wasn't hard to get what you were after, it just took someone using some Reading comprehension.

I think that's the problem you don't realize why Obama won and why Romney lost.

While a lot of that is tragic, I would prefer lazy ass people without jobs to be on birth control ;)

Right now im on ebt benefits, and have been for about two months, when we moved and my husband had to take his cna classes. I hate being poor, as i grew up spoiled, but im glad for the help. I do think that people should be monitored more closely, and be making a large effort to find work, steady work.

I remember when being on government assistance was something people were embarrassed about. That doesn't seem the case anymore, not that anyone should be ashamed of needing help, but flashing it around and bragging that you don't have to work because you're on assistance? That just annoys me. And the people that do work make too much to get any assistance, even if they can't feed their families.

Oh for sure hahaha. But telling someone who is paying taxes they shouldn't mind paying them because they're paying for their free birth control? Oy.

I also find it sad the people that are so stuck in the mindset that they need government assistance that they can't imagine doing anything without it. My little sister has a friend who is 19, engaged to a friend of mine, actually. She has a one year old by someone else, lives with her parents and her and her fiance TRIED to conceive the one she's pregnant with now and she's only ever worked one week in her entire life and quit because "it was too stressful." It was Taco Bell. Come on. Now she's bitching that she has to wait a year to move into their own place because the waiting list at the section 8 housing is too long and all I can think is if it bothers you that you have to wait so long why don't you just find a job so you don't need section 8?? She's constantly posting how she needs a job but she never goes out and looks for one. It just baffles me. I guess I'd just rather be in charge of my own life than letting someone else decide everything for me.

I believe so. That quote is way off. Romney had to say things to get Republican support which turns a lot of moderate voters off and he talked down to a lot of people. Obama didn't want people to be dependent on government but for it to work for the people and not just the few.

It's hard to find work, when there is little work to be found.

EVERYONE deserves a hand-UP. NO ONE deserves a hand-OUT.

Which begs the question: Why elect a government that makes job creation so difficult? Why not encourage job creation? Nothing in this economy encourages job creation.
