What would you do?

If you found at your 11 year old was watching porn? My mom was looking at my sister's laptop and found porn in her history. And before you say "This is why 11 year olds shouldn't have laptops blah blah blah, She really doesn't get on it alot and my mom is going to set up Parental Controls on it now.

i would say, she is curious. its normal.

I would talk to her about it. Especially if there was just one site. I know I was doing a research paper once and went to a site thinking it was legit and it was porn. I was in the middle of a public library and was horrified.

Normal. She just need to talk her about it.... Or maybe get her a book.

I would write her a note like that one dad did. Offer her a chance to come talk to me with no judgments or punishments. Just if she has any questions or wants to know anything.

I mean its probably curiosity, and very common for teens to be that way. In no way would I limit her computer time or punish her for it. I probably would set some parental controls as a lot of sites arent the greatest for your computer in terms of viruses.

Mine accidentally stumbled upon some very very inappropriate stuff on youtube, some smurf edited in a tentacle rape scene into a G rated anime she likes to watch. I was PISSED!!! Thankfully I was nearby and saw it and grabbed it. Reported it to youtube and that was that.

its very normal for her age or it might have just popped up on accident when she was trying to find another website. I would talk to her about it now but definitly would put a parental block on her laptop

We have a friend with three kids under 8 and they have new neighbors will two older sons. One is about 11, and has been troublesome, he's meaner than usual to the other kids and he apparently pulled up a bunch of rape videos then left them on the ipad O.O not sure if my friend's younger kids found it first or if the parents did, but they had to go have a very awkward talk with the parents :-S And then try to figure out parental controls on the ipad lol Youtube really needs to be more careful about this crap   they were ALL on there >.< Thought that smurf wasen't allowed!

i know when I was young, porn sites would just pop up and then I'd exit out. My mom didn't have parental controls or virus blockers. So I would probably just set controls and have the sex talk/porn talk. Not in a judgmental way though.

I started watching around 12. I stumbled across some bestiality and my dad found it. Thaaaat was a fun non-awkward conversation

That's a good idea!! ^ I want to do that with Peyton when he gets older if this situation comes up.

This happened to me, except she was 9!  
She was logging on at night or when I was at work and he was in the shower...
We set up parental controls and set the computer to auto shut off at 10pm, with the only possible restart time was after she left for school in the morning! It was tough! I felt soooo horrible and I just couldn't bear that she had seen those things and that her idea of "love making" was now ruined forever! The only thing we could do is make sure that she knew porn was not reality and NOT how husbands and wives really do things....

Oh god.. LOL SOOOO glad my mother never found some of the smurf I looked at when I was a teen...her head would explode XD
