kids reaction to

The sandy hook shooting.

A kid i know here in town who is an odd ball to begin with had a interesting reaction to the discussion the class had about the shooting. My mom and his mom are friends and she came over worried because the school called to tell her that after the teacher explained everything that happened and how over winter break the school changed some policies and procedures to help prevent that from happening here, the teacher asked if anyone had any questions.... The only thing he wanted to know was what guns were used to kill each person..... Am i the only one who thinks that answer sets off red flags.... I already think the kid is creepy, and wanting to know what guns were used on what people... Just doesn't sit right for me...

I was actually thinking something similar, or he might just like guns.

What makes him an odd ball OP ?

Is it possible he could just be shy, therefore making him distant?

He doesn't own any gaming systems, his mom doesn't allow it, and he doesn't have many friends. But even if he played those games, i just feel that at 12/13 should be old enough to realize that things like that shouldn't be said.. That's just my opinion though

It could have just been sheer curiosity though, and nothing more.

Kinda sounds to me like maybe he just thinks he is being "cool". The influences of video games, movies... kids nowadays all wanting to be gangsters... you know how it is. I feel like its definitely a weird reaction but I wouldn't immediately think he was really smurfed up I would just think he is 13 and growing up with bad influences.

He likes to lurk in shadows... He has been caught at the park here with an 8 year old girl pinned down kissing her trying to take her clothes off. He has cornered my Aunt (50) and started taking his clothes off telling her that he wasn't leaving until she agreed to have a sexual relationship with him. They have found neighbors pets dead in their backyard with toys, sticks, rocks stuck through them.... He just gives me the creeps..

most teenage boys are a little strange with a little sprinkle of smurf on top. I wouldn't worry about it

It could be that, or maybe he didn't think of what he was saying before he said it.

When I was in 7th grade (around the 1 year anniversary of the Columbine high shooting).

A kid in one of our classes jokingly said, "Hey on such and such day, we should all come to school in trench coats." He said it out loud in front of the entire class, and we all told him that's not funny.

He wasn't an odd ball, and didn't shoot anyone up, or anything like that. Sometimes people say stupid smurf because they don't think before they speak.

Nope.... They claim its not him... He went outside when it first happened and pulled a toy out of a cat and smiled "this ones my favorite" and walked away.... His mom let's him go anywhere he wants, doesn't ask... He's walked over to Mt aunts in the middle of the night wanting to visit.... His mom didn't even make him come home...

How are they able to deny it, if he has been caught doing suspicious things ? Something just doesn't seem right.
