DH's opinion on a boy name...
posted 21st Jan
My DH hates every boy name I think of. His reasoning is there is a idiot or jerk he knows with that name and he can't name his child as that person. It's gotten me so depressed. So far , the only two boy names he likes is Noah and Aiden .... and those name are TOO common now. I don't want my baby going to school with 7 other kids with his name. I'm not really too worried yet since I may still be having a girl and he doesn't care about the girl names.
Just wondering ... was you DH like that too?

I like Aiden, but I think Noah has gotten to common.

What about sticking close to those names that he likes.
Noah - Nolan
Aiden - Ethan

Yes, he said they were all "gay" or "douchebag" names. and all the girl names i was suggesting before we found out, he knew too many sluts or something with those names

Yeah, my Dh picked out ONE name he likes. And its not the name that I had picked and fell in love with.

Yes, but for different reasons. My names are "too weird" for him. haha

Uh, no. I told my DH when we met what our kids would be named and his only input for the older 2 was middle names. He had a bit more say in the third one's name, but ultimately we left it up to our older kids.

My DH won't pick a name out til we know the gender.
Don't he know bitches be crazy? I need names as soon as that egg drops.

Not with boy names. I gave him a list of three that I liked.
Jackson (so glad we didn't use this one actually, lol)
Chase
Carter
He said, "I like Carter." and I said "Me too." and that was it. Girls names were a different story. He was polite but turned down every single one I liked and never put a name on the table. Good thing we had a boy!
I like Noah but hate Aiden.

Dh only had a problem with 2 names and its because of the shows we watch. I liked Julian and he said no to that because my DDs name is Brooke... One tree hill it's Brooke and Julian... That's not even why I chose that name. And I was on baby genie and found jasper. He said no to that because of twilight. I hadn't even watched twilight to realize that jasper was the new commers names...
What about Eugene?

The only names we've agreed on.so far are Forrest and Harvey. I've also compromised on having Travis (a name I HATE) as a mn. Thankfully our kid has not been.conceived yet.

I had that issue too, both times. We agreed to not actually name the babies until they were born.
With my first the only name he likes was Anakin (star wars). I went off on him at 8m & told him he needed to come up with a list that didn't have Anakin on it.
With my second neither of us loved any names. When my oldest came to the hospital to see his brother we asked his opinion on the list of names. We said them & then saw if he responded. When we got to Spencer he said bubba pencer.

Yes SO liked river, and jaiden. I liked Noah and James.... when I was 8 months pregnant he was looking through a tool book and it said heather (my name), Paul(so) and Alexandra on the wrench set... he looked at me and said what about Alexander? and we agreed. Just keep going through names and find a happy medium. Tell him you both should have say and agree.
