I would drop Hailey, too. I don't think it goes well with Charlotte or Gianna.

Not really. When I was pregnant, SO and I couldn't agree on anything. I was thrilled when we actually agreed on something and just compromised. I regret it now. I just kept thinking "maybe I'll get used to it" but that didn't happen. I rarely called her Hailey, mainly Baby, junebug, gem, etc. Cute little pet names like that. Never called her Hailey in public. I wanted a name that I could proudly call her. I kept badgering SO about it and finally told him that it needs to happen, that I don't want to regret my baby's name for the rest of my life. He agreed and then made me so happy by agreeing to change it to one of my very top picks! I told him either Delilah or Charlotte. Now I have my little Lottie and I call her by name so much it probably annoys everyone.

Not that it matters but I like the name Charlotte SOOOO much more than Hailey.

I know you've gotten a lot of crap for this but I think you're doing the right thing...your daughter is young and it's not like she'll know the difference. Better to change her name now than to stick with one you really don't love and regret it for the rest of your life!

Sure it's a little unconventional but who cares? You should give your child a name you're proud to call them.

Me too! So so so much more. And Lottie is the cutest nickname ever. So cute and girly and vintagey. Don't know if vintagey is a word, but ya get my drift..

People are acting like it's the weirdest thing ever. I'm not changing my 9 year old's name! She's only 7 months. And yes, I want to be proud to call her by her name and introduce her to people.
As for it being unconventional, I can't let what other people think sway my decision.

I would put Charlotte in the front and keep Hailey as a first middle name.

We've got the papers to change it, but SO is really
wanting to keep Hailey in there and I'm really wanting to drop it. I'm going to give it a couple more days to try to talk him into it but i may have to compromise. I'm just happy she's Charlotte now. Finally have my little Lottie.

Thats so cute! I guess either way, as long as her first name is now Charlotte, thats a good thing   I love that nicklame!
