Pregnant on Mirena?

Has anyone gotten pregnant while having Mirena? How long did it take to get a positive test result? I have Mirena and been having pregnancy symptoms and now my face is breaking out (which is usually a first sign for me). However, I've tested at what would be 6 weeks and got a negative result. Maybe I'm just being paranoid  

how long have you had your mirena in? Sometimes you can randomly get pregnancy symptoms on birth control without being pregnant

I got preg with mirena in place...

I got a positive test at 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant, with a .99¢ test...

I've had it for about 7 months. I've read about the pregnancy symptoms but in the 7 months my face has never broke out. It literally only breaks out in my first trimester of pregnancy (at least since my teenage years). So I've been freaking out. I'm going to get another test today.

Did they remove the iud? How is your pregnancy going?

I was in complete shock when it came out positive

They couldn't get the iud out, the string came off or tore, they wentt in with lil forceps to grab it, but I couldn't handle it, just really painful...
We decided to leave it in...
At 5 months dr. said the baby would prob be ok,
I delivered him naturally and the mirena came out with the placenta
He's 16 months old now,
very scary but it all worked out...

How far do u think u would be??

7-8weeks just worried how it would go with the extra hormones it produces   but your story makes me feel better! Thanks for posting

Were ur periods regular?? Mine were, then they just stopped...

Don't worry till u *have* to worry, and even then, it will be ok, I found an awesome hi risk Dr. And he said the year before *would have been 2010* he delivered 6 babies, with iud still inside...
1 of my friends got preg with the mirena, when they took the iud out she had a miscarriage right after,
So I guess it just depends on what u decide to do...

When I got the positive test my husband took me to ER, thy gave me an ultrasound right away...

Thanks!! I haven't had a period in about 5 months. We are thinking about having another baby but I definitely won't to have the iud removed for a while before I become pregnant and my dd a little older. I'll let you knw after I test. Again thanks!!

I am pregnant now and I had the paraguard in...I guess it was moved a little and I found out I was pregnant at 3w 4d....obgyn was able to remove it with no problems so far...Im 5w 1d
