re: Withdrawing from Pre-K?

True...I mean, She likes being around the other kids, But I don't think it's benefiting her the way it can just yet....I mean, I do flash cards with her, ABC charts, she knew all her colors and shapes by 2 years old, I've WORKED with her, and I think this last year of being home with her will benefit her just as much...sure the interaction is important, but I can enroll her in a dance class or something on weekends and I'm sure that would help too.

yeah, they misinformed me.   They told me she HAD to have it, and I was confused by that....but they gave me a deadline and said she needed it by january 1st if she wanted to come back. I tried, but she kept getting sick (This fall/winter has been hard on her already, 2 colds AND RSV...) so she couldn't get the shots at all 3 appointments. Finally, I called the school and told them, and the lady I spoke to said " Oh, You can choose to be exempt"   So the people who I initially spoke to NEVER gave me the option...I wasn't thrilled about that, believe me.

Yes it did. I never went to day care so it was my only real time to be with other kids. My biggest problem was I hated being away from my mom. The next year I was perfectly fine in pre k.

That's how DD is, we're practically attached at the hip   I've allowed her to be babysat a total of 2 times, by her gram for a few hours, and JUST a few months ago, so she's never really been away from me. I'm sure that might be the issue with her, but it really helps hearing your experience with that- I hope it could be just as successful with DD.

I hope so to! Dance class was only like an hour and my mom would just wait in the waiting room. It worked out pretty well.
