If you broke down all your yearly expenses ...

posted 20th Jan
Into a monthly total how much would it come to roughly and how does this compare to your monthly income. Also do you consider yourself poor, comfortable, or rich (or somewhere in between). Are you hoping to improve on this or are you happy as you are?

Here's mine ... monthly total expenses: $3447
current monthly income - $6252
monthly left over - $3078

Currently I consider ourselves broke ... but over the next few weeks this will change to comfortable once things settle down.

We have roughly $2500 in expenses.
We make just over $5k/month but we are ALWAYS in the red. They take out almost 40% in taxes.

I am so sick of being in the red   I've just got the last my personal loan payments this pay and then we're just back down to insurances and incidentals

I'd consider myself comfortable, i have a lot of extra spending money. That's going to change though next year. I want to start saving more than i am now for a house so i'll be "broke". A lot of the times i consider myself broke though, like if i'm saving for something it's not money that I get to splurge on nice things so i feel that way haha

You will get there eventually. You just have to be really frugal.

We are not negative but we come out just about even every month so we don't have any extra to save.

We have $1035 rent, $220 truck payment, $90 insurance, $100 cell phone bill, $65 vacuum bill, and our utilities.

Plus we have to budget SO much for gas. DH drives a Navigator which gets like 10MPG and i drive about 5k miles a month so that adds up real fast.

We only spend $1000- $1500 a month.
Right now our income is nothing though.
SO got laid off, but he was bringing in $2000-$3000 a month, depending on what he got for overtime.
I also have my grants and scholarships for college.

Our Net is roughly 6K, our monthly bills equal out to around 2300.

I feel comfortable, most months. The past 6 months or so I feel like we've had a lot of extra expenses though.

We have lots of other bills too. Those were just the main ones. We have our internet bill, netflix, afterschool care, and a bunch of other smurf. I'm going back to work here next month so that will help SO much.

Right away, I will be a CNA which pays $15 an hour here. Then I have to go through 6 months of training for a corrections officer job which pays $21 an hour. Not bad for having no degree!!
