Returning your guns by Force

Just curious, pretend it is illegal all over the u.s. (or wherever you are if it hasnt already happened for you) that owning a gun of any sort is illegal. You have been sent an official request to return your guns, and if you do not, there will be major implications (jail).

What do you do? Return them? Keep them and hide? Would you replace them with something else?

There would be social unrest I believe and an uproar. Too many people wouldnt and they would either reform the "law" or I think there would be an overthrow of the gov.

So I guess no if I believed in owning guns I wouldnt give mine in.

I would return it. I'm not going to jail or paying a huge fine so I can be absolutely useless to my family, not over something like that.

I would return them because I follow the rules & would be afraid to go to jail. But the problem with that is, the "bad guys" don't care about going to jail, so in the end, only criminals would own guns. Banning guns for everyone is a bad idea. Unless by some miracle we can manage to just destroy every single gun on the planet, that'd be wonderful  

Answering this question on the internet is a mistake, I think.

I'd return mine and invest in other weapons for self-defense.

Owning a gun doesn't mean more than my family. I'd find another way to protect them.

Ha, I actually totally agree. I was told the other day (dont know if its true or not) how the cia secret agents etc are scrambling to keep their jobs because where as they use to have to study the people and get info, now you just need their facebook accounts. You have their pictures, their friends and family, and all of their thoughts.

You don't think so? Perhaps over a period of fifty/ sixty years they can slowly implement more gun laws to the point where the public cannot own them. It's happened many of times, why not here?

Because there would be no benefit to the government.

There are already gun laws in place (for certain types etc) and they are trying to introduce new ones now.

Absolutely agree with this. So my answer is decline to state. Just like when the doctor asks if I have guns in my home
