Do I Make A Big Deal About It?

So, I'm due the end of Feb. DH's promise to me and new years resolution was to quit smoking. I told him he should quit as soon as possible before the new year so we don't have to deal with him being pissy while I'm in labor. He's now tearing up the entire house trying to find the bag of tobacco he thinks he misplaced. He's bought 2 packs of cigarettes since (that im aware of) and is being a total horse's ass. Do I bring it up? If so, how should I go about it?

You can't make him. I wouldn't push it. It will be a fight.

Giving up smoking isn't an easy thing for a person to do, I've watched 2 of my parents, aunts and uncles and multiple friends all go through the process. Whilst some fall off the bandwagon you shouldn't be on their case about it too much, they'll be stressed enough from being deprived of their addictive substance.

Who knows perhaps the birth of your child will give him more of an excuse to try harder, but if he is quoting cold turkey (and not using anything to supplement in his journey to quit eg. patches, gum) then its going to be harder again.
I know a lot of people I know have been using some sort of tablet that you take and if they do smoke the taste of the cigarette makes them literally feel sick, I just cannot remember the name of it

i'm pretty sure the stuff you are talking about is called chantix. it seems to work really well for most people, but there is a slight chance that it can give you crazy mood swings.

I'm a wee bit late but I just had to jump in haha. My dad took Chantix, it made him have insane mood swings (but he did anyways since my mom passed away), and it also gave him horrible nightmares. It really did work though, it took less than 2 weeks and he was completely done, he hasn't smoked in about 2 1/2 years now
