re: DID you forgive SO for cheating

My husband cheated on me not even a month after we started dating. He wasn't over his ex (no excuse to cheat but still) and he told me she wanted to "talk" so he went over there twice. Sad thing was I knew he was cheating but I never said anything, until the girl said something to me. I told him it was me or her, and for a while he chose her. We stayed best friends (we were best friends 4 years before we started dating) and even though I was in love with him and wanted to fight to get him back I didn't. I just let him do his thing. Not even a month after he went back to her, he realized they were not right for each other and he wasn't in love with her. We got back together a little while after. It is still hard to FORGET what he did, but I have FORGIVEN him. I have those days sometimes where its all I can think about or I get a doubt in my head, but I just have to remember to pray everyday and trust him that he loves me now (I know he didn't love me then, not in love with me anyway) and he wouldn't do that again.

No. My SO "cheated" emotionally, three times over 4 yrs and I never forgave him or forgot it and it has always caused problems. I physically cheated on SO, one time, last year- he said he forgave me... but I can tell he didnt, he always brings it up and throws it in my face. Its a cycle
