what to wear to a wedding??

posted 20th Jan
Say you had a wedding to go to next weekend, what would you wear? *pictures please, if you can*

(And, for the sake of this post, we'll just pretend it's going to be a nice 78 degrees wherever you live.   )

No idea, actually. Invitation was very vague. It's a family member I don't talk to but maybe once a year around Christmas.

Yeah, it'll be outside. I haven't been to a wedding in like 10 years lol.

Don't wear white or red, don't wear a really high hemline or a really low neckline, and don't wear anything that would draw a ton of attention to you.

Do wear something flattering, fairly modest, and something moderately dressy. Nice pants or skirt with a pretty blouse, or a nice (not flashy) dress.

Your job there is to support the main act, so as long as it isn't going to make people whisper, it is probably fine.

Well I'm more comfortable in dress pants, not really a dress person, but it will be mid July so I don't know if I could wear pants without sweating to death lol. But no white or red, got it. Thanks for that tip I didn't know lol.

Yeah, I mean people wear pretty much anything to weddings these days but the old rule is you can't wear white because that's the bride's color and you can't wear red because it gets too much attention.

But I had women wearing white and red dresses at my wedding and I didn't care. You just never know what a bride might flip out about.

I have a friend whose MIL showed up to her wedding (my friend's wedding) wearing a full on wedding gown. Like she had no idea she wasn't supposed to. "It's a wedding, it's a wedding dress, what's the big deal?" LOL

Something along those lines....I could try to help you more if I knew your style and body type.
