Diono Radian Experts!!

I was looking at getting a Radian XRT for Peyton when we get our taxes, I saw these... are they safe because they are manufactured by the brand or no? I know most car seat straps and extra's are NOT safe but I was unsure because these are sold by Diono themselves.

The radian comes with it's own harness covers, so yes, it's safe.

Ok I guess I didn't pay attention that when I was looking at the seat, lol. I was just wondering because usually those things are unsafe. But that is another good thing about the Radian then because Peyton hates the straps so covers would be good but I know most of them are unsafe.

If it's Diono brand, it's fine. And that photo is a crappy portrayal of how a harness is supposed to be. Lol

yeah the carseat comes with them already on, at elast mine did.

I was just thinking that   It's obviously too loose. Shame on you Diono, lol.

If it is made by the manufacturer, it is generally ok. The problem I see with these is they appear to push the chest clip too low which can cause internal injuries in a crash.

They're only unsafe if they aren't made or approved by the car seat manufacturer

Yeah I was thinking that too. I was like jeez you are trying to sell me a safety product and the pic isn't even right? Happens all too often, they just don't pay attention. Lol.

Well it's good they come with it then so no need to buy the extra ones. I like how comfy the Diono looks. Peyton hates being in his carseat, it's not comfortable at all., it's serious just plastic and a little bit of fabric. Even for car rides that are only 15 mins he just gets whiny after a little bit. I mean it's not excessive but you can tell he isn't comfortable.

yep! A few years ago, Target had a display in the store to measure your kid with and it was a Britax Marathon with the chest clip nowhere to be found. Well, you could see the top of it. Down under the kids belly button. I wrote Britax and Target a rage letter. I don't know if they took me into consideration but those displays are changed out now with proper photos.

It looks like there *might* be an inch or two behind the covers but it's hard to tell since it's all black.

They don't. They didn't push them all the way back in the picture. Mine barely even touch the clip

My almost 4 year old is still RF and passes out in it all the time and loves his Diono.

I swear its the ONLY place he naps now. I take the long way home sometimes just to guarantee some peace and quiet  

Dionos are COMFY! I'd totally ride in one!
