re: Judgmental Mothers.

no need to even post your age on the site AT ALL. you could just act like an adult & a mother, and no one would question you otherwise

It really is sad. =(
When she has the baby and feels that love only then she will be like "oh, now i get it"

WTF Really??

most of us WERE teen parents. also, new topics come up in the side bar, and that's where most people go to.

Uh, there are no legitimate "pro's" for smoking while you're pregnant...

I was a "teen mum".
I never got judged because I acted like an adult and made adult decisions that were in the best interest of my child. Not saying that I was perfect, but I had enough sense to try and make better decisions for my child's benefit.

You get judged for being a teen mum because you act like the stereotypical idiot teenager that gives hard working teen mothers a bad rep.

Quoting JiLLiAN.:" exactly. PLENTY of women quit cold turkey when they find out. or they cut back a lot, depending how ... [snip!] ... of their health care provider, because babies do get addicted to the nicotine and can suffer withdrawal symptoms, OP."

Before I even saw 2 lines, when my period was a DAY late I stopped cold turkey. I could do whatever I wanted to my body, but I didn't have any right to do it to the baby's. I was a raging BITCH for a month but who cares.
I also never picked the habit back up, smoking is just as bad for me to do when she was in me, but even worse now that she is out if I were to smoke around her.

Except there ARE teen parents on here, they just don't blast their age everywhere and act like stereotypical teen moms... like you're doing. If you want to be treated with respect start acting like someone to respect. Right now you just sound like a spoiled teenage brat.

Actually a good chunk of us have told you the reason you're getting smurf is not only because you're being stupid but because you're flaunting around your age and what a proud teen mom you are, just be a mom no need to throw the teen on the front.

Quoting Thisperyears:" I got pregnant at 19 and had DD at 20. Not exactly a teen but not something I'm proud of."

I was EXACTLY 6 months past my 18th birthday and I had DD a few months after I turned 19. Was I young? Sure. Did I freak out? Yup. Would I change it? Nope. And does my age determine my parenting skills? Nope. That's why I don't bring my age up unless it's related.

"id probably just use google for those questions, if it doesnt make you sound like a 5 star mommy then dont post it here."

^^ that times a million.

I'm not a teen mom, nor have I ever smoked, BUT my mother smoked like a chimney with me... I don't think there was as much pressure or research on it back then. I'm not going to say that I'm the brightest bulb out there, but academically I've always been able to hold a 4.0 down (: Common sense might just be another story, however..... good luck with getting your questions answered.
