Baby Shower

okay....so my church has decided to throw me a baby shower for my little girl. They called me up to ask what days would be best. I gave them two different Sundays in February to choose from and said anytime on those days would work. We collectively decided to do a guy and girl shower so my husband could feel like a part of the pregnancy. Well yesterday at church, my husband confirmed going to an evangelism seminar thing for 10 days (The church is paying for it) and he already got the time off, so he can't reschedule that. I get a call today that they've decided the best date to do the shower is the Sunday after he leaves.
I guess my question is: Would it be alright for me to ask them to change the date (making it two weeks earlier than what they've decided...) or just go to the shower by myself?

I would personally just go on the date they chose, was it one of the two you had originally told them was OK?

yeah, but at the time I had no idea that DH was even thinking about leaving me for 10 days...

I'd go with what they scheduled for you. Since they're throwing it for you. That's just me.

I'd go with the day they gave you. Maybe it works best for their schedules.

Thanks guys....I'll probably just stick with it. Give me something to do while DH is gone...
