afraid to have sex again...

It's kind of embarrassing that i'm even sharing this with anyone. Some of you know I had an abortion on the 10th of january, so its still another week until i'm cleared to even have sex... I wouldnt anyways, im still bleeding. I got the mirena, but im still paranoid that i'll get pregnant.... I feel like after this experience, I dont ever want to get pregnant again, or even do anything that would risk it..

I think you have to wait a month after getting on a birth control for it to be at its most effective, but I would also suggest incorporating some spermicidal lube in the mix just to be sure! And of course, wait until you are ready. {{hugs}}

Understandable. Nothing is fool proof aside from not having sex or masturbating but to really cut down on your worry, I'd look into a barrier form of contraception to go along with your Mirena.

Hugs hun. Just make sure to take extra precautions! I've had the mirena for about two years ago and my SO and I haven't had an issue with it so you should be fine.

Im the same way. My husband and i have only had sex a handful of times in the 5 months since we have had our son and I am on Implanon. We always use condoms but Im still so paraniod I barely let him touch me! I know my situation is not exactly the same but I just want you to know you are not alone
