That's usually around how much we spend for Lucas', maybe a little less depends on where we have it and if they charge also. That audio doesn't included presents. But we really don't have a lot of money to spend so I'd say that's a good goal to try and do.

I always try and do Christopher's parties at home! Well at least till he goes to school and makes friends, then I'll probably have to do it at like a bowling ally or something   renting places are crazy expensive though..
What are you guys doing for Lucas! I can't believe I'm planning a 3rd birthday! Lol

I try to do it at a place that's bigger then my apartment so more people can come. But yeah places can be crazy expensive. We had his last weekend at my apartment because the place we were going to have it at decided not to inform me until a week before they were charging me 200 dollars just for the room. When I had it for free there last year. But having it at my apartment really wasn't all that bad.

Yeah I remember seeing your status on FB about that! I was looking into getting a place for Christopher's party, then I saw they charged $350.. uhhhhh no. My house will do for now  

There are SO many places that you can do for free or really cheap, you just have to be creative! Public places like parks and museums and then there's things like the zoo - you should just research places in your area and see whats there. I remember once having one of my parties when I was little at this train museum and my mom told me when I was older that is was really cheap, like 60.00 and the kids got free train rides on the little train ride that went through the museum plus a free train coloring book and a hat, so that was cool.

DDs present was about $250 this year (were going to see a Disney show). Her cake is costing $80 and I'm estimating the food/decorations/game stuff to be a couple hundred. That's what we normally spend... But she's an only child, lol

I'd love to do a park! However, February is the coldest month around here. Pretty much anything zoo/outside related is a no go because of the weather lol. Anything inside is usually a pretty penny

Yeah, I just realized your in NY, I grew up in Buffalo, I should have known better lol! - you should be able to find something indoors thats cheap though if you think outside the box.

The past 3 birthdays was around $200 a year or less. This year will be more because I'm renting a pavilion at a park ($75), getting a bounce house, cotton candy machine and possible a clown ($200-$250) plus decorations and food.

We spent about $600 in 2010 for their shared party...not including gifts. I seriously have NO idea how people spend so little! We rented tables, chairs, and a jumper. Then food, decorations, plates, cups, utensils, game prizes & balloons. I made their invites, outfits and cupcakes myself. This year we just did it at the park to save, but it was still around $250.
