Not being told you're fired?

posted 20th Jan
I apparently don't work at my LNA job any more. I was never made aware I was fired, can they do that?

Also, I was on workers comp, so I have no idea what's going on.

That's odd. I would think they would at least have the courtesy to say that they were going to let you go. Sorry that happened.

they can't fire you while on workmanship comp I thought.. I'd ask why and get in touch with a workmanship comp lawyer

According to a worker's comp lawyer, you cannot be fired while on workers comp. I would ask them what their reason is and then I would call a lawyer. Good luck

In Cali, if you are on disability, workers comp they cannot legally even fire you until you return. But I have been fired before by then sending me my last check in the mail before. Bullsmurf. But apparently they can do it that way.

I have no idea if I'm fired or what! I'm off the schedule and no one called me to tell me when I was working.

My boss won't speak to me. I've left her messages and she refuses to call me back.

I'd go to human resources if they can't help mention that since you feel like your being wrongfully terminated while on workmans comp you will be getting in touch with a lawyer.... slot of times at that point they will give you answer

I don't believe they can while on workmans comp.

But they can just take you off the schedule and never put you back on. That happened to me at a job. It's basically so they avoid the confrontation. Bitches.
