You have a nut allergy but because YOU are okay eating Hershey's, you assume your kids will be too? Allergies are sometimes inherited, twit. Hershey bars are made in a facility that processes nuts.

DUH! PLUS its tradition

It used to be a tradition to give babies their first taste of beer before they hit a year old.

I broke that tradition.

I feel bad for the OP. Clearly didn't make a good decision but chances of her kids dying from eating chocolate are slim. Isn't like she went cruising with them not in a car seat.

She has a nut allergy which puts them at higher risk. Chocolate bars such as this are made where there are nuts. Do the math there. Not really slim at all.

I'm late, but this really pissed me off. OP, you stated that YOU are allergic to nuts?! Yet you risked your babies for a smurfing tradition?! My sister was once allergic to nuts and then developed an allergy to chocolate suddenly. I almost LOST her so many times because even the smell of either of those would make her airways close. I ALMOST LOST MY SISTER FROM A ONE TIME CHOCOLATE EXPOSURE! I hope you NEVER have to experience what I and my family went through when she had a reaction and as we desperately waited for the ambulance.

The fact that you as their mother is allergic to something should make you more aware and keep them away from anything that can cause them to go into shock.

I am beyond infuriated as a mother.

There is a 25% higher likely hood that your child would be allergic to it than a person with a non-allergic parent. I'm sorry but that 25% is too high to take a chance.
