child support reduction

I got papers in the mail that said my bd is requesting that his child support be lowered.

My children are 4 and 2, his current child support for my two is 254. He currently pays child support to for two other kids (two different moms) as well: a 4 year old for 180 a month, and a 9 year old for 124 a month.
His payment for the 9 year old at his last hearing went from 124 to 382 a month. His reason to reduce theirs is that with that one increased, he cannot afford to pay theirs. He still has the same job with the same amount of income.

My plan is just let the judge decide. All three cases are under the same judge, so I assume if she didn't think he could pay it, she would never raised the one payment. What do you think will be decided? thanks

i dont think its fair one child gets soo much money but trying to lower yours and the other child doesnt get as much

I dont see how he can afford to live.

I think he should get snipped.

It is a formula based on bith parents income, i think it makes perfect sense

Maybe he should have thought about that before he had sex.

My court order is 300, the next girl is 150, then the next girl 100 I'm sure when I have this one I will get 25 lol

That how my state is. The first gets a lot, then it gradually goes down with the more kids..

I don't think that make sense. She has two kids by him and gets less than someone who has one kid? I think the right thing to do would give more to the OP who has more than one kid.

It goes by what comes into the household as well. So if OP is making way more than the mom who only has 1 kid, obviously she is going to get less.


I guess it sucks, but whadda ya gonna do.

I get why but the system is just messed up.

Why? There is a formula. Obviously op a) makes more than the other mothers and/or b) has less expenses than the other mothers.

I just wonder what the chances are of reducing/raising?
both our incomes are the same as we went in. so I don't see why it would change.

Because expenses could be changed to make up the difference. I have a friend who the baby mama lives a better life than they do because of the amount of child support she receives.
