Labor Pains?

posted 20th Jan
Hey guys...I just had a quick question. So yesterday I went into this crazy cleaning mode and ended up cleaning the whole house. Now today I've noticed a lot of cramping in my back and occassional cramping in my lower abdomen. I'm 39 weeks along and have a doctor's appointment. Do you think I should be worried and call into the doctor's office now, or wait to see how things go some more tonight and talk to them about it in the morning?

If they form a pattern - time them. For now, though, you're not in any sort of full-blown labor.
It does sound like pre-labor though so keep an eye on it!

There's nothing they can do if you're just feeling slightly uncomfortable. I wouldn't worry about going in or calling until they're about 3 to 5 minutes apart, you can't talk through them, and they're lasting over a minute. Good luck!

Thank you, I'll have to keep an eye on it. I'm trying to stay calm too because my hubby is at work and I don't want to call him home because of it and have it be a false alarm.

Yeah I wouldn't call him until it really starts to hurt, or if you're having at least tightenings 5 min or closer lasting 30-90 seconds.
