His ear is falling off?

posted 20th Jan
Lol, no but seriously, behind his ear when it attatches to his head looks split? it's all crusted over and red raw. I've cleaned it and put some disinfectant cream on it. Is that all I should do to it? I'm off to see the nurse tomorrow for myself so I'll get her to have a sneaky look at it for me.
I'm just wondering how one earth he would have injured himself in such a way?! lol. and his never made a fuss as if he had hurt himself. very confusing!

how old is he? is he a spit upper? My son got that a couple times.. when he would spit up while laying back in his chair it would get behind his ear somehow and cause it to get raw.

He is 3months and 3weeks. He does have pretty bad eczema at the moment and we're trying to get it under control so i have a feeling it's something to do with that. Didn't realise he could have some behind his ears too so once it's healed I'll keep there moisturised aswell as the rest of his body! lol. I was well freaked out this morning when I noticed it though, Poor little man in the wars!. x

My daughter has pretty bad eczema and it happens to her all the time. She'll be 13 months in a few days her eczema is still pretty bad and she still gets the raw spot behind her ears. DD pedi said to use a little Hydrocortizone for it same with any spots on her face.

This is the EXACT same as Dexter! lol.   Except he can't have Aveeno, it makes his eczema worse for some reason. We're using Cetraben Cream Amollient now. I'll start using it on his ears as soon as it's healed. Poor thing looks well sore! ,x

Both of my boys have severe eczema and that happens pretty often   make sure you don't put anything scented on it cause it will burn, treat it the same way you would a scrapped knee.

I'm allergic to it but with my oldest he had that scared the crap outta me so I rushed him to the dr and he laughed and gave me a prescription of Hydrocortizone cream to put on it. Since I'm allergic to it he also gave me extra strong gloves to wear to put it on him. it cleared up in less than 2 days. Same thing happened with my middle son and now my 3 month old.
