Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, age appropriate?

What age do you think it's ok to start letting your LO watch tmnt? Like, the old show? Our LO is 3 and is watching the new movie, which I know is a little bit more violent, but if I bought the old dvd's, would that be ok? Or is he still too young? I'm looking online and they're not rated or anything.

I think with things like that it depends on how you want to raise your kid.
I was brought up watching crazy violent movies, I don't believe it affected me at all. I personally wouldn't let my girls watch anything violent because they are very sensitive. It depends on the kid and the parents discretion.

IMHO, I wouldn't let my 3 y/o watch it. Even the old ones have more violence than s/he should watch. I honestly don't even like my 7 y/o watches it. At 3 y/o, kids are soaking up everything they see and hear. Letting them watch a show like that could send the wrong message.

My kids were like 2 when they watched it, they hstarted watching all the spiderman and batman movies harry potter etc....around 2. But I dont censor my kids (its something I dont believe in) lol

They are older now 10 and 4 and they watch horror movies with me.

But its something that definately is based on what your child can handle and understand, kwim? If my kids at that age were scared and couldnt handle it, they wouldnt have watched it.
