re: Castor Oil ?

That's just not true. Aside from the fact that it's never even been documented, the same risk is there for ANY variety of induction, anything that makes you contract can do the same thing.

OP, you posted that you are scheduled for a c-section on feb 4th..so why do you need to know about castor oil?? Imo, i think its stupid to try.

She made a previous post about asking for an induction at 38 weeks.  
How about you just wait,op. You won't be pregnant forever.

Maybe the girl just needs to take a smurf.... She never said anything about wanting to induce, and even if she does maybe she's trying to find a good natural way to do it before they make her have a section?
We know nothing about this girl.

I didn't jump anyones ass, all I was stating was that going by this post, she didn't ever mention inducing early. I don't go and read people's past posts, not interested.

Tried it at night after dinner. No runs, cramps, smurfs etc. Than continued to wake up with cramps (contractions) until finally they actually WOKE me up around 7 am. I was bleeding bright red every contraction. So we went in and turns out my placenta had shifted lower because well I wasn't saposed to be in labor!!! Drinking the castor oil started my contractions un naturally and caused my placenta to tear and bleed. My dd wasn't responding to labor well at all so within 2 hours of being at the hospital we had to have an emergancy C-section.


I will NEVER drink that crap again. And will tell everyone I know that it's the stupidest thing to do! I know and understand how impatient and ready, BEYOND READY, you get at the end but please please please..... everyone!! DON'T DRINK THAT NASTY CRAP!

If she wants to smurf that I suggest magnesium citrate! My doctor had me drink half a bottle to clear me out before labor. I was so constipated he couldn't even check me properly. lol. Worked and I felt amazing after! And it's only like a dollar and the lemon flavor is good.

lol I was so happy after! But ya he said to drink the hole bottle but on the bottle it says half and than the other half if needed. (if i'm remembering correctly). Oh and drink it cold!
