I'm sorry, but I hate it. Mackenzie is a Scottish clan name and all Mac- names means "son of", it's incredibly masculine and in the US, it's just trendy and stupid and Ryan means "little king", which is also incredibly masculine.

Rhian is a legit Welsh girls name meaning "maiden". (can be pronounced ree-an or ry-an).

Besides - Mackenzie is just so darned trendy on girls in the US, it's very, very boring and overdone and it will look really dated in a few short years (think Brittany of the 80's and Deborah of the 60's)

Don't be butthurt, I was on just last night and had nothing but nice things to say - I just get tired of seeing the crappy masculine, trendy names that required zero thought and creativity.

I think Rhian is beautiful - Rhiannon is another interesting choice, I don't see it very often, plus the mythological roots give it a pretty magical feeling.

Didn't you know if you paint a few stripes on a chicken it makes it a tiger?! I mean same thing with a name right? Throw it on a few girls and it becomes a "girl" name! DUH!

You must be a pretty negative person to only see negative. I know a LOT of nice ladies and see a lot of great, genuine, and nice conversations.

Very, very true - it was on my list if my son had been a girl, mostly due to the fact that my ex is a dirty hippy and loved that song.
