Thank you! Since he is making a huge compromise, I'm letting him call her Cordie even though it isn't my favorite - I prefer Corrie, but Cordie is one letter off from that, so oh well, at least I get something other than Rhapsody. >_<

I like Corrie better too, but Cordie certainly isn't bad. It's kind of hard to think of nicknames for that name. Delia could be one.

I like Delia, too - and just Lia. I had Corrie, Cordie, Cora, Delia, Lia and Ellie (a stretch?) on the list.

If Bub had been a girl the name would have been Marley Lia Scarlett.

Marley was his choice. Lia and Scarlett were mine.

Me, too. She was awful in Buffy, have you ever seen Angel? Once she transitioned over to Angel, her character really developed and she is turns into this character with a lot of depth and warmth to her - plus she learns to fight, so she's a bad ass. She kind of becomes the mother figure of the group, the one who watches over everyone else and she sacrifices a lot to help other people. If I hadn't watched Angel, I would let the association bug me, but she really does a HUGE turn around.

It's actually a family name. My grandpa and I were really close before he passed away in 2010. He had a sister that died in infancy and her name was Lia. His name was George Leon, neither of which I like, so I thought I would honour him by giving my baby his sister's name.

Otherwise, I really dislike family names. It's almost killing me to give Toby his grandpa's name. And why Edmund? Gah.

My mom told me that if she'd known Lia was spelled like that and not Leah, she would have given me that name lol. Instead I got Stephanie.

I really like Delia and Lia out of those. And Cora. Ellie could work.

UPDATE! I went to the courthouse today and I DO NOT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE COURT TO CHANGE HER NAME! I only have to go through vital records. Just have to fill out a form and send it in along with $40 (so it isn't free but isn't super expensive either) and they'll mail me her new birth certificate. So it's pretty easy. I went to vital records and picked up the form. I'm going to mail it in tomorrow. I'm very happy
