Advice much needed.

22 days till my due date. I just had my baby shower and I have a mountain of baby items staring at me. I'm the youngest in my family. And I grew up without my mother. I've never changed a diaper, and I've never cuddled a baby. All I have to go off of is internet and movies and my friends advice. I can't picture what it will be like. I'm very nervous that I won't know what to do when the time comes.

As soon as you see your baby, your maternal instict will kick in, and you will forget life before you were a mother! Good luck, hon!

Like everyone else said, your natural instincts will definitely kick in. Hugging and cuddling and holding the baby will come as second nature to you.
As far as changing diapers and giving baths, etc, there are a lot of youtube videos out there to show you ahead of time. Ask the nurses in the hospital to show you the correct and safest way to do it and ask them to help you while you are there.

Everything will come out naturally as soon as you see your little one.

When I was pregnant with my son I had the same fear. I never felt comfortable holding friends babies, ive never changed a diaper, never fed, i thought i was doomed. As soon as they hand you your baby you just know what to do. Its amazing!
