Infant seat and double stroller question.

I'm looking at variations of double strollers. I've basically narrowed it down to Graco, Combi, and Chicco.

My question is since they all hook onto the strollers, do they hook onto the double stroller of the same brand too? I can't find a lot of information on them.

My son is only going to be 1, and we will be using it a lot, so I do not want a sit and stand. And I want to make sure it will all hold up for the consistant use (almost daily.)

And if you have a Combi infant seat, do you like it? What does the bar in the front do?

I was able to hook the carseat on the stroller, I had a graco infant seat it was awesome, I could put his seat on front or back seats,
Now they are 3 and 16 mos, so I'm looking for a diff 1 something smaller...  

I know when we looked at ours we could snap our graco into our double, or a single. So I would assume even though ours is a sit and stand it would work with a different double...?

That's what I've been looking at graco wise. I like that it has two actual seats.

Probably. I just don't know if I want a graco yet. We are getting a new infant seat because all of baby trends double strollers that allow a carseat to hook on (from what I've found on a million damn sites) are sit and stand. So my head is about to fall off trying to find something I like, that isn't a million freaking dollars.

Graco makes a wonderful double stroller that allows for the infant carrier to lock into the back seat, while the toddler can sit in the front. I'm not sure if you can combine different brands (say, a Cosco carrier with a Graco stroller), but I know that Graco is amazing for strollers. I personally am getting a sit-n-stand, because my toddler will be 2, and I know that the infant carriers lock into these as well, but I'm sure you will find somethign that works best for you. I had a combi seat and double stroller when Logan was a baby, and I had Journey. My seat didn't have the bar across the bottom, so I don't know anything about it, but I HATED my car seat. It was always a bitch to get the handle up and down, the shade on the top was all sorts of funky, and it smelled weird. I NEVER got the smell out, so I finally got rid of it and got a Graco seat.

As for the stroller, it was big and bulky, and really smurfing annoying, and I have heard the Chiccos are the same.

I have a Graco now, and I really like it, but it's an older one. I really would like to get the one that's like 12 different seats in one basically. I can't remember for the life of me what it's called right now.

As for seats hooking on, yes. Gracos fit in Gracos, Chiccos in Chiccos, Combis in Combis.

I have a Chicco seat for Alex, and though it doesn't SNAP in the back seat of the stroller I have, it FITS. In case you get a car seat and choose a different brand stroller.

I think we're going to go with the graco ready to grow.

I loved it when he was infant, the back lays all the way down so whoever was sleepier or about to be sleepier lol went in back, the front leans back just enough, my kids have fallen asleep there so its not too bad comfort wise, the basket under is huge, now its just big for no real reason for me lol we use it for disneyland and walks now, if we go to malls they like those shopping cart cars u can rent, so I can get something smaller now...

Have u looked at allbebaby?? That's where I got mine, my husband almost bought 1 at the mall for over 600. *he dosnt know better don't laugh* lol
It was maybe half the price on there, just diff color then what he wanted...
