Depends how you want it cooked
Red/link in the middle or all the way done?
With a. Roast you can put it in the crock pot with veggies and a little water all day and it'll be done and tender by dinner time

For a great roast, just brown it in a skillet, put it in the crock pot with some water and a can of mushroom soup and a can of tomato paste, and some veggies and go about your day. By dinner time it's delish!

Haha okay-
Steak buy a jack Daniels marinade bag and put it in and let it marinade overnight. Out it in a grill- not too high of a flame ( especially if its thick) cook to your liking.

Lol you can do the same steak in a bag and throw it in a broil oven for a few min.
You don't even have to marinade over night it can be for an hour IVe even done less

I use whatever steak I have . Your sirloin steak will work. How long depends on the thickness.

How does he like his steak? If you don't know shoot for medium or med rare- he can always cook it longer. A thicker steak will take longer but are soooooo good and don't dry out as much. Steaks are pretty simple and those marinades taste good so you don't have to experiment much.
