I'm out of rum. But I was thinking fireball might taste good. Or vanilla vodka. But I always have the tried and true whiskey. What do you think I should go for?

What's a hot something? I've never even heard of hot buttered rum lol

I make my batter. So I melt 1 lb of butter in a large pot. Then add in 1 pound brown sugar and 1 pound powdered sugar. 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1 tsp cinnamon. Then remove it from the heat and stir in a quart of vanilla ice cream. Freeze in a freezer container for up to 3 months.

Then when you want a cup - do a heaping TBSP, an oz or two of rum, whiskey or other alcohol top with boiling water, stir until mixed well and optional a sprinkle of nutmeg on the top. It's a Christmas drink. But I have some left from the holidays. Super yummy.

It is so good! My nieces just take the batter and add hot water. That is very good too.

They are also notorious for just eating it by the spoonful like ice cream
