TTC certain gender

So...I want to get pregnant now, but DH and I agreed that I have to wait a couple years.

Anyway, according to old wives tales, what does it take to TTC a BOY???

If you used these methods, what was the outcome?

Why is this in AS?  

I just asked something very similar lol,,,if this baby is another girl,,I will have to work hard on trying for a baby boy. Hubby really wants a boy but I don't want to be having a kid each year lol...This baby and my little girl will be 17 months apart.

The only thing I know about gender swaying is that shettles was proven to be smurf (sex before ovulation for girl, sex while ovulating for boy) but you can alter your vaginal pH to be more hospitable to x or y bearing sperm (depending on which you want)

If you read the comments, yes, I realized.

I did shettles when TTC my last. I don't believe in it but it was worth a shot.

Shettles method..

Girls contribute an X. Guys can contribute either an X (girl) or Y (boy). Y sperm travels faster but die faster. Girl sperm is slower but lives longer. If you have sex 2-3 days before ovulation and stop you have better chances for a girl. If you have sex on ovulation, better chances for a boy.


That's how I understood it anyways.

I've read this as well, but I don't know how accurate it is.
Apparently if you orgasm before him, then you are more hospitable for a boy. If he orgasms first, then girl.
Like I said, I don't know if it works. We have a boy and I always orgasm 2-3 times each time we have sex (before him).

Well no wonder I have a girl and dr. guessed I am having another not sure yet though. If he really wants a boy he will need to try to come after me which is nearly impossible lol.

And I just got the book by Dr. Shettles how to choose the sex of your baby. Well it couldnt hurt. I'll also be using the chinese calendar, also cant hurt. I"ll be tcc in March/April.
