Walking to induce labor
posted 19th Jan
Walking ever worked for anyone to induce labor? I walked today for an hour and a half up and down hills and through town. No contractions yet. It's been about 5 hours...I've had dull lower back pain on and off and a few sharp pains in my groin area...what do you think?

Nothing for me but I'm not dilated at all yet...I plan on going on another walk today, try throwing a few more hills in there. Guess we'll see what happens!

Hills r killer lol do u have like a yoga ball try bouncing on that or on edge of bed I did that n feel like that dropped my baby low and made me effaced and dilated maybe I think I give up I'll walk and bounce but will not think about labor anymore I feel like im going crazy

Yea I've been bouncing on my ball for weeks now...I did today for 2.5 hours straight...decided I was too cold to take a walk. Now I'm extremely crampy and gassy feeling...

I know!! This is getting miserable.

Nothing will work unless your body is ready.
Walking might help with labor though, so I've heard.
Good luck!

Thanks. I am starting to get irritated...I am having contractions and just when I think they'll start getting regular, they stop completely. Damn you false labor for getting my hopes up!! I know he'll come when he's ready, but I feel selfish because I keep getting my hopes up only to get them shot down...I am so impatient
