Multiple Baby Showers.

Do you believe that a baby shower should only be for the first shower or that you should only have one shower no matter how many kids you have?

OR

Do you believe that every baby deserves their own shower?

Why?

Same sex no, different sex or with a different SO yes.

I think every baby deserves to be recognized but not necessarily in the baby shower fashion.

I had one with my son but not my daughter but thats most likely because i kept a lot and bought what i needed so i didnt need anything.

I think every baby should be celebrated, I would never not give one of my kids something the other had.

But I dont do baby showers that are 'oh, buy me this'....its a lunch, games, prizes, celebrating the baby....not the gifts.

IMO, showers are for the mother to be (and traditionally).
Every baby deserves to be celebrated, but not as a shower with a registry.

Different sex or longer that 3 or 4yra between kids (since a lot of stuff expires)

i think if you're on your fifth kid its a little much, but 1-2 maybe even three depending on the situation. if i were to have another i'd probably have another shower

That's kinda how I look at it. If someone insists on bringing a gift, that's fine. But I love just being around friends and family and having a good time. Celebrating the baby.

I dont know anyone (myself included) who wouldnt want to bring a cute little new baby and a family who are expanding a little something.

But my circle of peeps dont do registries...we all are the type of people who get what we want/need and the extra's are exactly that, extra

I think its brutally tacky to go to a store and check off things YOU need and then tell people to go get them  

Im just going to ask for diapers and hygienic items. I know theyll buy me clothes anyway, since girls are so much fun to buy for   But no i wouldnt have another shower for a same sex, definitely would for a boy, after having a girl.

I see no problem with multiple showers. To me it doesn't matter.

Yeah my family and friends would buy a small gift even if I told them not to haha. I think that this time around, I will just throw a small get together with food and games. (:

I think it's a little silly to throw YOURSELF more than one shower. However, as years go by your friends and family expands/changes... So, from a celebratory standpoint - as many as are thrown for you! From a gift stand point... don't ask after your first unless different sex or 5+ years have gone by between births. JMO.

I'm thinking about having a gender reveling party lol just for fun. not sure how it's going to go down tho lol
