formula fed 6-8mo olds

How much is your LO drinking in a 24hr period? Please mention if they have solids and how much of that they have as well! TIA!

When my daughter was around that age she was eating about 6 ounces every 4-5 hours. She also got 1 jar of baby food twice a day. I gave her fruits in the mornings and veggies at night.

Dds 10 months now but she hasn't increased formula intake since 8 months. She drinks 7 oz every 4 hrs and 3 solid meals a day with snacks throughout the day. Now she gets milk and juice and more during meal times.

Do you remember about how big she was?

Heres my issue...(we are behind on his check ups and wont have his 6 month for another 2 weeks, pedi is out of town)...he will be 7 months on the 25th. Hes 20lbs and 30 in (was 11 at birth) and hes drinking 7 ounces every 4 hours and then sleeps from like 10 to 8am. So hes getting around 35 ounces a day and I feel like that is too much! My mom suggested bringing baby food into the picture, thinking he would stop drinking SOO much. I did and he wants an entire jar of food AND 7oz. I put a little oatmeal in it once too and he still ate it all and his formula. I'm so afraid the kid will be 30lbs by the time hes 1 and not be able to sit up lol.

how old is your DD? Does she have teeth? He loves the baby food we've given him so far, but maybe Im just not giving him enough of it?

I want to say she was around 20 pounds. I have it written down somewhere but I have no idea where.

My daughter has always been a good eater though. She would eat a whole jar of baby food and want a full bottle an hour later. I always fed on demand with her. My daughter grew like a weed and I thought the same thing but once she started walking and got active she stopped gaining weight so quick. She is 2 1/2 now and weighs 33 pounds and has been that weight for 5 months now.

DD is 7.5 months and weighs 12.10lbs. She gets bottles every 4 hours and drinks 1oz, on a rare occasion she'll drink 2oz. She gets breakfast (oatmeal), lunch (a veg), and dinner (macaroni, meat, and veg).


So in a 24 hour she drinks about 6oz, wow when I type that out it seems so little lol.

Well that makes me feel better! We are usually feed on demand parents as well, but as I see him the size of a 1 year old I start to panic haha. He was 11lbs at birth, so he was naturally just a big baby, but holy man!

DD ate like 8 oz of formula every 3-4 hours. she'd hate some baby food or some soft food of ours whenever. her solids weren't really on a schedule.

Kellan will be 8 months on the 30th.

Wake up 8oz bottle
Breakfast 2oz mixed with stage 2 fruit and cereal
lunch 6oz bottle
dinner 2oz mixed with stage 2 veggies & cereal or sides of whatever we're having.
bedtime bottle 8oz

I feel like he eats just enough. But hes so long and chunky hes wearing 12 month stuff and some 18 month stuff mostly those tight fitting pajamas

That isnt enough formula. I would cut back on the solids. She needs to be getting at least 24oz a day.

DD too. she's pretty tall and 12 month onesies have fit her great for the past month or two (she's 9 months now) and has some 18 month sleepers that fit her pretty well, also.
she's too damn big. grows out of everything i buy her in like two weeks.

that doesn't sound right  
DD was only eating that little when she was a newborn until like two weeks old, maybe a week. she should definitely have more formula than that.

I got really sad yesterday in Target. I was looking at all these cute baby clothes but they only go up to 9 months. I could have squeezed him in them and they would have looked fine but he'd only wear them like once or twice. It was sad though.
