What and when to buy..?

Hi ladies...

I am about 18 weeks with our first baby (boy). I was so anxious to get out and buy, buy, buy but when I get to the baby section or babies-r-us I have no idea where to start! I'm choosing to buy stuff little by little rather than taking a huge chunk of money out at once. What are the baics that may be easy to overlook? Like small things.. or large. Whatever comes to mind!

Go on target.com and sign up to make a registry. They have an entire checklist of everything you'll need and if you add stuff to your registry it'll be easier for you to keep track of it later on and you can go back and look at what you liked.

exactly! thats what I did and it prevented me from over buying. also my suggestion is if you are having a baby shower, wait until after for the smaller purchases (clothes, diapers, wipes, etc.) because you may end up with more than you use. I bought everything I thought I needed with my first by the end of the second trimester and had tons of stuff. With my second I waited until the first part of the third trimester and still had more stuff than I needed. I am waiting until about 35 to 36 weeks with this guy. (except a few things just in case)

Little by little is good! That is what I am doing with my second. I have been picking stuff up every time we go to a store. Even is its just wipes, pacifiers or anything else you can think of!

I get so overwhelmed with allllll the baby stuff that I end up putting things back. Haha.
