baby shower gift?

What is something around $80 that you are glad you have?
I've been asked to pick something but cant think of anything that I dont already have maybe this will give me ideas.

Pack N' Play?

Bassinet? Car Seat? Breast pump? Those are the only thing I can think of off hand that I got for around 80$...

Baby swing, bouncy seat, diapers, bottles, clothes, pack n play, crib and/or crib mattress, etc.

If I was given 80 for a baby item... I'd probably get a really super nice diaper bag. I hate cheaper ones - they always feel shoddy. One of mine quickly fell apart, one was okay, and one has the worst straps...

Baby wearing device of some sort

I would get a basket and load it up a bunch of stuff like bath stuff, diaper cream, wipes, digital thermometer, receiving blankets, towels, etc.

This too. I didn't have to buy diapers for LO until he was around a year old because I got so many at the baby shower, and if he outgrew a size we'd just take it back and exchange it.

Diapers are always the best thing!!! However you could do a breast pump if you know how they're going to feed or a pack of the bottles they've chosen. Wipes, a gift card goes a long way because they're able to use it for whatever they don't get and need, like formula if they will be bottle feeding. Or diapers and wipes once the baby runs out. Many people buy cute clothes for the first month or two and that's when they wear the least actual clothes. They need actual clothes for when they're older and going out more.

my latest diaper bag was $75, but I wouldnt say I needed it. I think the pack 'n' play or the bouncer would be the best thing. both came in super handy

I agree with Speaktruth2power... I'm getting my friend a really nice decorative basket filled with Nappies, wipes, cotton wool, muslin squares, a blanket a little teddy, some nipple cream, breast pads and other little things that just help along the way!
I was given sonethinv like this at my shower and loved it!

oh yes, how could I forget this. I had a snugli that was pretty heavy duty. it had front settings for infants, and back pack settings for older babies. loved it!

Like the basket idea but maybe instead of using a basket use a baby bath tub to put the stuff in

I got something like this at mine. the basket is cute, but the tub is more useful
