Questions about Anterior Placenta

posted 19th Jan
I just found out I have an anterior placenta! I didn't have one with my son which would explain cuz I was feeling him alot by this time.. & I will be 18 wks tomorrow and dont feel anything (maybe a tiny bit here & there).. Doc said thats what it was & moved on. Didn't say when I could feel the baby? Like how long is it going to take? Will I never fully feel the baby like I did with my son? & is it going to take BD later to feel it?? Is there any problems it can cause.. Etc..

You'll definitely feel the baby fully eventually. I had an anterior with my daughter and at like 18-20 weeks I really started noticing more movement.

I had anterior placenta with my second and didn't really feel much till 22 weeks or so. I also never felt her move with the same intensity as my first but she wasn't very active either. The movements will pick up but it will take awhile . I felt allot more movement towards my back with her too.

I notice a big different with movement with this baby. Placenta is not anterior this time, and her kicks were definitely more obvious much earlier.

I had an anterior placenta my first daughter, felt kicks from around 20 weeks, im having my 2nd daughter now and also another anterior placenta, felt the baby slightly earlier and now at 39 weeks can feel the difference between hands and feet, cant say if i feel the movements as much as others because i havent had anything but an anterior placenta but i dont feel like ive missed out, felt plenty of kicks and rolls, its also never caused a problem for me
