I totally understand. With my DD I took whatever I could get, with my son I wanted EVERYTHING matching. Everything he owned was green jungle themed, I loved it. It's so nice when everything matches. Luckily for me I shared what I wanted and my MIL liked the theme I picked so both our mothers only got what I really wanted. If I had told them and they acted like they were going to get other stuff I would have took it back for sure and got credit.

At least they bought stuff. Truth be told, I got like 4 or 5 things off of my registry out of probably 100 or more items that I received as gifts from people. It's not THAT big of a deal. Most things will work the same, they just look different. There are only a few things that I felt necessary to have the EXACT thing, which I just purchased myself. If you really don't like it, you can return almost everything without a receipt and get store credit to get the item you want, but honestly you sound kind of spoiled with the whole "MY, MY, ME" thing.

People get so bent out of shape when they receive GIFTS that are not on their registry. Be smurfing grateful that they want to get you anything at all

you are an inconsiderate and selfish bitch!

Just because it wasn't the color, name brand ect. YOU wanted, doesn't mean it's not good enough for your baby OR that your baby will give a rats ass that great granny got him the graco highchair in blue instead of the chico high chair in lime.

You shouldn't be having a baby at this point in your life. You're selfish, greedy and a spoiled brat! You need to grow the smurf up and fast!

Be happy you're getting things from your in-laws. It may not be what you want, but at least they care enough to get you stuff.

I really dont think anyone uses a registry anymore to buy baby gifts other than as a get an idea of what mom wants but a registry isnt the end all of this is what you must buy me and nothing else will do. Alot of people didnt get anything I had on my registry but I was grateful none the less and if I didnt need/want it and couldnt take it back well it got given to someone who could. Its not the end of the world and believe me when the baby is here you honestly arent going to care what the high chair or playyard looks like as long as its safe. Its materialistic and selfish and I see why your husband is upset you are acting this way.

I actually understand what you're saying because I am picky when it comes to baby items. I like to pick them out BUT you're being an ungrateful twat. Your registry isn't the bible, you should be happy they are buying anything for you. If you want specific things, get a job after baby and buy them your damn self.

Just be happy that your SOs grandparents are buying you stuff and want to be a part of your babies life. My SOs grandmother has hated SO since he was born and doesn't want anything to do with our baby.... Be thankful for what you have instead of complaining. A lotof people have it a lot worse.

This. If I was associated with you I wouldn't buy you smurf.

"Wah wah wah that play yard doesnt match my theme, how DARE you not look at my smurfing registry, I spent the time to make it, FOLLOW IT!"

Yeah, and they worked for that money to buy your ungrateful ass a gift. Seriously, you dont deserve smurf with that attitude.

I can understand wanting what you want... but your in-laws are better than my ex-in-laws ever were. They only got my daughter one or two things throughout her life (she's 2.5) and they were always dirty and broken hand-me-downs. Even if you feel and think all these things you've said, please at least be gracious enough to thank them sincerely for it, and return it later if it really is that horrible. You're being a control freak, and it's pretty normal for first time moms. You'll most likely get over it, at least I hope so.
