Quoting HopingforaMiracle:" In New York (assuming your place is correct) Oliver was number 80 with 300 born in 2011. It was 78 in the US. I say if you love Oliver, use it!"
I've been reading perdicitons for trends in 2013 and most think that Oliver will got up to the top 25

Where did you get the stats for where you live? We might be moving out of state.

Quoting Devil Duckie:" yeah, but if it's higher on the list, there is a more likely chance there will be several in his school.   I had 5-10+ of my name and I was always blamed for someone else's bad behavior. "

I have a very common first name too, but it wasn't that common until several years after I was born. So when I was 20, I felt like every 5-10 year old in the world had the same name. Idk, I just think if you really love a name, it's better to risk not being the only one than it is to settle for a name you don't love as much just to be unique. Dh has a really unique name, and he had some pretty high expectations to live up to as a kid.

The SSA site. Google social security baby names. It should be the first site. Then go to Popular by state. It'll ask you what state and it gives you the top 100 for that state and birth year.

wow..... a LOT more popular where we think we're moving, but only 187 Oliver's for the whole state. What am I worried about?

Eek, Jenn. I dunno about this one. It's not terrible, but I'm just not feeling it. I LOVE Max though.

Not really.
We haven't really been sure his first name is Oliver. We've been trying to look for first names before looking middle.

we have a list of names that would all be good middle names. Some I like better than hubs does and other he really likes and don't.

I keep telling him, I think we just need to go to the hospital with a list and pick one when we see him, since we're not feeling anything we at the moment. He is convinced we'll find something and it will click. at this point, I'm not so sure.

Elliot was named before we even knew 100% he was a boy and Piper was named at 21 weeks. I'm 23 weeks and nothing has even remotely struck my fancy.

My mom always said if my brother was blonde hair, blue eyes when he was born, then he was Scott. & that's what he is. But then after I came along and my dad named me Jillian, she wished she had Jillian and Jonathon.

I'm sure you'll find the perfect name. Even if it takes seeing him.
