What's the big deal with Oliver being in the top 100?
I know none of us want our kid to be the 8th kid in their class with the same name, but that's not very likely. Being in the top 100 just means that a lot of other people think it's a great name. My dd's nickname is top 100 but her full name isn't. That seems odd to me.

Hrrrmm I've thought about using Oliver as a middle name, but we have some really awesome middle names that my husband refuses as first names, so I'd either use Oliver as a first name or not at all. IDK this is my last, and I really wanted something that just made me got "AH HAH! THAT"S IT!" and nothing is doing that yet..... He feels like an Oliver, but I don't want him to have tons of them in his school. So far *knock on wood* I've avoided that with Elliot. We'll see when Piper starts school in Sept.

I like Max and Leo just as they are. My husband won't use what he sees as nick names as full names.

If I want Max, I have to find a longer name that contains it. If I want Leo, i nhave to go with Leonardo or Leonard

I mean I haven't run into another Maxwell, none in my son's school either. Same with Skye... I mean there is a smurf ton of Skylar's but no Skye's.
I love Benjamin for this baby ( if its a boy) and I saw it was in the top 100 yet.. none at my son's school and I haven't run into one. I also love Veda for this baby ( if it's a girl) and definitely haven't heard that lol aside from on here.

yeah, but if it's higher on the list, there is a more likely chance there will be several in his school.   I had 5-10+ of my name and I was always blamed for someone else's bad behavior.

In New York (assuming your place is correct) Oliver was number 80 with 300 born in 2011. It was 78 in the US. I say if you love Oliver, use it!
