delivering and unable to get epidural

I am 30 weeks and I was told I cant get a epidural because of my prior back surgeries. I have 2 kids and my oldest I had epidural and my youngest no drugs.. I definitely want soething. they said I can get iv drugs or a pain pump for delivery.. if I need c section I will need general anastesia. I was wondering if anybody used the pump or iv drugs and how effective it was for the pain? a worried mom

I got something in my IV, don't remember what it was called. I felt high for 5 minutes then the pain came back 100x stronger. I hated it.

I also had IV drugs and it helped all of five mins and I felt everything after it wore off then I couldn't get anymore for 2 hours, well two hours later, I had DD.

I had what's called nebain and it felt good for 10minutes tops. After an hour and a half I was crying but you can only get it twice and there has to be 4 hours in-between. I ended up getting an epi like 4 hours later.

I also got IV drugs and it made me feel kinda drunk for like 10 minutes and then the feeling was gona and the pain was still there.
