Epi. Help

So I was thinking about getting an epidural with this baby because I get really upset and anxious, and would rather be more calm. My problem is I get REALLY sick from perks and vicotin (sp?), so Im wondering if the Epi will make me sick too... Anyone have an idea?

Isnt it really strong tho? I'd rather be cranky then throwing up ya know...  

I get sick from Vicodin too and didn't get sick from the epidural. Its not the same because you don't ingest it...

ANY type of narcotics make me super sick..even certain other pills make me super sick too but the epidural didn't have any effect like that what so ever. My legs were just ridiculously numb

Their is narcotic in the epidural medicine but it isnt enough to really say so! it should make you sick... although lots of women get sick the closer to 9cm then get reguardless

I heard labor in general makes you sick... O.O

I wouldn't know. I'm plan on getting one. Codone makes me sick. Which is whats in perks and Vics. HydroCODONE. And OxyCODONE. Next time you are prescribed those for whatever reason tell them that. Codeine may work better for you. It's for people who can't tolerate Codone. And the other way around.

Ask your OB next time you're there tell her those make you sick. And ask if the epi will. Good luck OP
