p90x vs. insanity

posted 19th Jan
Which one is better for losing a lot of weight? Or are they basically the same? If you did either, what were your results?

Ugh Idk which one to buy once I'm cleared to start working out lol. I know its gonna be the death of me, but I figure if I'm gonna spend all that money on it I will actually stick to it lol

Im in love with Insanity. No equipment needed but your body. First day was rough now I am an addict and love the hurt.

Whoever ever said they're basically the same is way off.

If you can't do a pull up/push ups, don't commit to p90x. Insanity IS hard as well, but it's doable, you just have to constantly check your heart rate.

If you're looking for a good beginners program, try Power 90. It's like an easier P90X!

So you don't need to do pull ups/push ups with insanity? Maybe I'll do that one lol. I just want something that will definitely help me lose weight

Nope, insanity is based on high intensity interval training.

This is my difference in 6 weeks doing insanity/30 day shred. Now, this also was me not sticking to either program exactly and not watching what I ate all the time. And I definitely wasn't working our 6 days a week, probably closer to 4-5. Oh, and this was over Christmas and my birthday, which both were huge splurge days for me! I had only lost 10lb in that time, but I toned up a lot all over otherwise.

You can definitely tell the difference though. You look great! I wish I could start now, but I had a c section so I have to wait :/

Yeah, that's my point! Even if you don't follow it religiously, you should still see a difference!   And thanks girl! It's a work in progress, that's for sure.

I'd start low impact once you get the okay! Just work yourself up to it.

I have the 30 day shred DVD so maybe I'll start with that when I get the okay. I'm so serious about it this time.. I feel so gross lol.

I did Insanity then P90X2 and I think it worked great!! Insanity burned my fat and by the time I did P90X2 I got nice and toned every where. I of course still have a pouch and loose skin on my belly, but every where else is exactly what I want!! Oh well I need more of a booty, but I;m working on that!   I also think starting off with 30 Day Shred then Insanity would be a great idea!! Insanity is insane! I was 186 when I started working out with Beachbody,..I am currently 133!   Work hard!! Its ALLLLL worth it! Keep pushing play hun!
